Q&A: Additional Questions from the Community

As we didn’t get through all the questions during the live Team Hangout, here are written responses to a few more from the community:

Q1: Do Citadel integrations also speed up thanks to EVM?

Not really. Citadel will be pivotal on DuskVM. DuskEVM uses the account-based model and therefore there are easier and more efficient solutions to implement access control.

Q2: Given that blockchain thrives on decentralization, how and when will tokens be more broadly distributed, node ops diversified, and reliance on exchanges like Binance reduced?

Dusk (the organization) is just one participant in the Dusk network, it doesn’t hold special power. If the community wants to drive decentralization, that movement can (and should) start from within.

The team is fully supportive of community-led initiatives and is open to backing them with treasury-held tokens and other resources.

Q3: Will Dusk release a detailed financial report for 2024–2025? How will you ensure transparency and sustainability?

The financial sustainability depends on our capability to deliver the suite of applications we are working on, and to bring appealing security-backed assets to users and investors. This is what we are focusing on right now and are confident in our capability to elicit significant interest, especially in this climate.

All our efforts and resources are focused on that, and everything else has lower priority right now. In the past, these types of reports have been consuming significant efforts and focus from the team to provide valuable information in light of the significant multi-year development efforts. At the moment, these efforts are not as significant and our time is better spent in business development and shipping as soon as we can.

Q4: How many regulated asset providers have agreed to integrate their assets onto Dusk? What’s the progress on onboarding?

The main focus is on venues, not individual providers, since venues already have multiple asset providers integrated. Through partnerships with these venues, we gain access to a wide range of tokenizable assets. Agreements are already in place with several of them.

Q5: Will there be a public demo of the full stack (DuskEVM, etc)?

It’s a good idea. We will see to allocate some resources on that.

Q6: Are gas fees on DuskEVM payable in stablecoins or fiat?

We are going to integrate wallets with account abstraction on DuskEVM so that is definitely a possibility. But initially, gas fees are gonna be paid in DUSK.
