[Community] Discord and Forum

Community participation, alignment and excitement is at a low currently. I suggest that the team makes a real effort of getting participation, excitement and aligment on discord and the forum back to acceptable levels. Especially after tg closed down. I haven’t seen ANY team effort to actually incentivise the transition. Suggestions:

  1. Start dropping real updates and alpha on the forum and discord. And merely link to those updates in the tg announcements, causing for people to have to go to discord / forum to actually see the updates. Oh and make the updates interesting. Not random.
  2. Start some transition contests incentivising people to transition.

I also feel Hein en Ema should go on discord especially this week and next weeks and have a good conversation with people and share some updates. Team really needs to step up in this respect. Killing telegram really hurt a lot of people and reduced the active community. Imo team hasnt shown any real effort to keep the communty alive on discord. Which is a real shame.

Community excitement is often tied to visible progress, and that’s exactly what we’re pushing toward. The more pieces of the roadmap we bring to life, the more momentum we’ll naturally build. But as you know, we’re not launching superficial partnerships, these are deep integrations with regulated partners, and that comes with real complexity and longer lead times. A way to combat this would be finding a way to keep the community updated in times when not a lot can be shared publicly like you mentioned in your other proposal.

As for the TG transition, this is a phased approach. Phase one was the migration itself, which is now done. Next up: we’re rolling out a wave of new community initiatives, starting with a creator program to empower content creators and bring more energy into the space. It’s all currently being integrated, so even if it’s not all public yet, it’s what I’ve been spending most of my time on for the past week.

Agree with your point about how updates are delivered. That’s actually part of the plan: to start sharing more updates, alphas, and deeper insight within the Forum, and then use TG and Discord purely as a pointer, not the main channel.
